PGDM (Finance) program has a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students to advance their career in a rapidly changing world of finance. Course plan includes foundation and advanced level courses in finance, summer internship, workshops sessions from industry thought leaders, Capstone Project and simulations-based trading and valuation modules.

The course plan involves 32 foundation and advanced level courses in finance as well as some allied courses and a Capstone project and virtual summer internship for a total of 900 hours of coursework. Additionally, the program also includes Tutorial sessions on need basis for strengthening their conceptual understanding.

Classes are held online during the weekends (Saturdays from 6.30 PM – 9.45 PM and Sundays from 3.00 PM – 8.00 PM) and one working day (Wednesdays from 6.30 PM – 9.45 PM), with session recordings available for viewing during the term.
Participants are also offered tutorial assistance on need basis for strengthening their conceptual understanding. The program encourages systematic peer learning opportunities.
The course pedagogy involves lectures, case discussions, hands on exercises and financial simulations, data analysis using Excel and R, and peer-to-peer learning.
Four one-week residential modules at XLRI Jamshedpur Campus. Participants interact with faculty, peers and industry experts in an intensive campus setting.
Virtual Summer Internship for a duration of 40 hours (4 credits) undertaken along with courses in Term 3 — must be in a finance role in an organisation different from the participant's employer.
Enrolled students have opportunities of career guidance through specifically designed sessions, regular speaker sessions involving senior corporate executives, and access to XLRI's global alumni network.
Participants shall be awarded the "Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Finance)" upon successfully meeting the academic requirements of the program as set by the Academic Council of XLRI Jamshedpur.

The applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% from a recognized University/Institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The PGDM (Finance) is approved by AICTE and is equivalent to a two-year post graduate diploma — a master-level credential conferred by XLRI Jamshedpur.
Students can attend from any place. Classes are held live online over weekends and one weekday evening, with session recordings available for revision.
SBI XLRI Branch Jamshedpur and ICICI Bank Bistupur Jamshedpur offer bank loan assistance to eligible candidates.

Global Markets Simulation & Trading Competition
PGDM (Finance) - Blended students compete in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge using the Bloomberg Terminal to develop return-generating trading strategies. In 2023, Team xlriAAN secured Global Rank 35 and India Rank 7 out of 2007 teams from 35 countries, placing in the top 5% globally.

Immersions are intense: days are packed with classroom learning, case labs and group work; evenings spill into alumni meet-ups, student clubs and peer dinners.
The campus houses a modern library, finance trading labs, sporting facilities and a residential block designed for executive learners — food and accommodation are included per programme communications.

The fee for the Program is Rs. 14.8 lakhs (excluding caution deposit and alumni membership fee of Rs. 20,000/- each), paid over 6 installments as follows. The fees include the cost of textbooks, reading materials, library resources, accommodation and boarding during the four mandatory campus immersion programs at Jamshedpur but exclude the travel and related costs.
